ANTHONY R. CHESLOCK, D.D.S. AND ASSOCIATES PROPER HOMECARE FOR FULL DENTURES  (NOT METAL FRAMEWORK PARTIAL DENTURES):  JOY LIQUID DETERGENT: Use this daily to brush soft debris from your denture surface. This contains no abrasives, only cleansing soap. It is best to use a denture brush. DO NOT USE TOOTHPASTE AS THIS CONTAINS AN ABRASIVE.  UNDILUTED WHITE VINEGAR: Soak your denture overnight twice a week to remove calcified (hard) deposits.  CLOROX: One part Clorox to four parts water mixture for two hours will disinfect the surface of your denture.  If you should become nauseated (sick to your stomach) and there is a danger you may vomit, please remove your denture to prevent the danger of your denture being flushed down the toilet.  If you should break your denture, PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REPAIR IT YOURSELF. A denture that has been glued is m uch more difficult to repair than one that has not been. Call the office for an appointment. Every attempt will be made to accommodate your needs.  REMEMBER THAT YOUR DENTURE SHOULD BE ALWAYS BE THOROUGHLY RINSED BEFORE YOU PLACE IT BACK INTO YOUR MOUTH. ALSO REMEMBER THAT IT IS A GOOD IDEA TO REGULARLY BRUSH YOUR GUM TISSUE WITH A SOFT BRUSH AND WATER OR TOOTHPASTE TO MAINTAIN THE HEALTH OF YOUR OWN GUM TISSUE.
